Founder and President With more than 25 years of residential development and building experience in the Carolinas and Florida, Sam Burns brought a broad range of skills to the table when he established Dock Street Communities in 2005.
After graduating from Michigan State University with a BS in Urban Planning and the University of North Carolina with a Master of Regional Planning, Burns
embarked upon a career that has included city planning, resort development and a 10-year stint as Regional President of a home building company with operations in Raleigh, Greensboro, Winston Salem and Charlotte. His interest in Traditional Neighborhood Design led him to head up Inland Homes, a pioneer of TND townhomes and live/work townhomes in Charlotte, and later to found Meeting Street Homes with operations in both Charlotte and Charleston. A few of the TNDs Mr. Burns helped develop include Vermillion and Rosedale in Huntersville, NC and Eastfield Village in Charlotte.
In March 2005, Mr. Burns moved to coastal South Carolina to form Dock Street Communities, in conjunction with a local partner David Stradinger of Winchester Development. Shortly afterward, David Wilkes of Myrtle Beach, who shared a keen interest in TNDs, and had acquired extensive experience in local real estate and marketing, joined Dock Street Communities as consultant and Vice President of Operations.
Sales Professional With 25 years of experience in financial and business operations, Joe Jackson gained valuable information and insight into business. Transitioning to real estate, he has been a part of new home sales for over a year. As a member of the financial services industry he has been able to understand the true power of relationships in business. This experience has built the core of his business principles which revolves around you, the customer. He characterizes himself as a committed associate that will ensure that all customers who build a home receive an Inland product they are proud of.
Sales Professional Raised in a military family, Anastasia frequently moved around the country and ultimately settled in Tampa Bay. Growing up with various changes aided her in acclimating and developing relationships with poise. She can be described as gregarious, outgoing and enjoys being around people.
While studying Marketing and Finance at USF, she took the opportunity to study abroad in Thessaloniki, Greece. During her time there, Anastasia was appointed as the American Student Government Representative. This is where her interest in real estate flourished and she decided to obtain her license. From there, she eventually transitioned into new home sales.
Anastasia’s diverse work and life experiences allowed her to take on numerous roles and responsibilities. Giving back to the community and working with nonprofits are just some of her passions. Honesty and integrity, along with determination, are philosophies that Anastasia strives for in all aspects of her life.
